HeartGenetics<\/strong> continues to increase its portfolio of genetic tests, particularly within the pharmacogenetics area. <\/span>OncoAlvo\u00ae<\/span><\/strong> is a new genetic study of the anti-EGFR antibody therapy response in metastatic colorectal carcinoma<\/strong>. With this new test, medical oncologists will be able to know what is the best and most effective treatment for each patient.<\/span><\/p>\n

90% to 80% of patients with colorectal cancer do not respond well to therapy directed to EGFR receptors, being resistant to this therapy mainly due to the presence of mutations in the RAS genes.<\/span><\/p>\n

OncoAlvo\u00ae<\/span><\/strong> evaluates more than 170 genetic mutations<\/strong>, including those recommended by the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO<\/strong>), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO<\/strong>) and the NICE<\/strong> Medical Guidelines (UK). OncoAlvo\u00ae<\/span><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0evaluates the<\/span> KRAS<\/strong>, NRAS<\/strong>, BRAF<\/strong>, EGFR<\/strong>, ERBB2<\/strong>, <\/span><\/i>and<\/span> PIK3CA<\/i><\/strong> genes.<\/span><\/p>\n

OncoAlvo\u00ae<\/span><\/strong> genetic panel was developed in a join collaboration<\/strong> with the IPO-Porto<\/a> and is scientifically validated and proven to its clinical utility with more than 500 patients.<\/span><\/p>\n

The genetic study is performed through the analysis of single directed mutations with an accuracy of 99%<\/strong> through the innovative iPLEX MassARRAY\u00ae system. <\/span><\/p>\n

A HeartGenetics<\/strong> continua a aumentar o portf\u00f3lio de testes gen\u00e9ticos, nomeadamente dentro de \u00e1rea da farmacogen\u00e9tica. O novo teste designado de OncoAlvo\u00ae<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>permitir\u00e1 a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de um estudo gen\u00e9tico para avalia\u00e7\u00e3o da resposta personalizada \u00e0 terapia por \u00a0anticorpos anti-EGFR em carcinoma colorectal metast\u00e1tico<\/strong>. Com este novo teste, m\u00e9dicos oncologistas poder\u00e3o saber qual o melhor e o mais eficaz tratamento para cada paciente. <\/span><\/p>\n

Actualmente cerca de 90% a 80% dos pacientes com cancro colorectal n\u00e3o respondem bem \u00e0 terapia direcionada aos receptores EGFR, sendo resistentes a esta terapia maioritariamente devido \u00e0 presen\u00e7a de muta\u00e7\u00f5es nos genes <\/span>RAS<\/span><\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n

O novo teste OncoAlvo\u00ae<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>vai permitir realizar em simult\u00e2neo a avalia\u00e7\u00e3o de mais de 170 muta\u00e7\u00f5es gen\u00e9ticas<\/strong>, incluindo as recomendadas pela ESMO<\/strong> (<\/span>European Society for Medical Oncology<\/span><\/i>), ASCO<\/strong> (<\/span>American Society of Clinical Oncology<\/span><\/i>) e as <\/span>NICE<\/strong> Medical Guidelines<\/span><\/i> (UK).
